Quiz Committee
The quiz committee is an expert body responsible for the following:
- Administrating / Teaching quiz courses on the Logic Virtual Campus platform, by providing extra tuition to students (contestants) online, following the quiz course syllabus. They are also involved in online live interaction with students and their teachers.
- Authenticating the relevance of quiz questions to quiz syllabus, by discussing quiz questions set by various administrators.
- Providing academic / career support to students involved in the competition and other students from other schools.
- Organizing workshops and training seminars for participating schools. They include:
Dr. Yaw Okraku-Yirenkyi is the Chairman of the quiz committee. He also acts as the administrator for the course, “Introduction to Internet”
Yaw Okraku-Yirenkyi, is currently the Director, Studies at the Advanced Information Technology Institute, Ghana/India Kofi Annan Center of Excellence (AITI KACE) in ICT. Prior to his appointment at AITI KACE, he was the Director, Graduate Studies and a senior lecturer at Regent University College of Science & Technology.
He holds a B.Sc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi. He was awarded a scholarship by the Japanese government to study in Miyazaki University as a MONBUSHO scholar in 1996. He was awarded an M.Eng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering & Ph.D in Systems Engineering in 1999 and 2002 respectively.
Other companies with which he has worked include: Electricity Company of Ghana, Kyushu Electric Power Company (Japan), Cingular Wireless (US), EQUIP International and EduACTION, (both in the UK). His work experience spans over 15 years.
He is married to a medical doctor, Ama Kwansima (Essel) Okraku-Yirenkyi who is also a Climate-Change expert. The couple is blessed with a son, Nana Kwadjo and daughter, Ewura Abyna.
Prof. Kumardoss serves as the vice chairman of the quiz committee. He also doubles as the administrator for the course “General Knowledge in Computing”.
Prof. M.J.Kumardoss is the past Head of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which is under the School of Informatics & Engineering, Regent University College of Science and Technology.
He is the recipient of Jeweharlal Nehru’s award from the Government of India, for the best outgoing student at the Master’s degree program.
He is a Gold award winner from Aluminium Bahrain (ALBA), the largest aluminium smelter in the free world, for having developed a patented instrumentation trainer, Bahrain.
He holds a certificate for the best teacher from the Sepang Institute of Technology (SIT), Malaysia.
Has 35 years of teaching and training experience at the UG and PG levels of 7 universities in India and abroad.
He is currently in India and provides expert consultancy service to organizations.
